Be A Part Of It

New mothers have been telling us that they would have liked to have joined Growing Up in New Zealand last year while they were still pregnant, but they didn't hear about it in time. So, to give these parents a chance to join Growing Up in New Zealand, we're happy to enrol them in the study to start from the 9 month interview.

The eligibility criteria is the same, which is:

  • you must be living in the Auckland, Counties-Manukau or Waikato district health board regions (Auckland DHB does not include Waitakere or North Shore cities), while you were pregnant, AND you are still living in one of these areas
  • and your baby must be due, or born, between 25 April 2009 and 25 March 2010.

The Auckland district health board covers Auckland city and the Hauraki Gulf islands - it does not include North Shore City or Waitakere City.

The Waikato district health board region does not include Taupo.

If you are unsure whether you live in one of the three DHB regions we are recruiting from, just click above on the name of the region to see a map of the areas they cover. Please note that we are currently accepting registrations for babies who will be born between 25 April 2009 and 25 March 2010 only.

Your Ethnicity

Because Growing Up in New Zealand is a population study, we'd like women from all of New Zealand's different groups and communities to be a part of Growing Up.

Please tick all the ethnic groups you belong to – this will help us make sure that Growing Up represents everyone in New Zealand.

This question is optional, so you do not need to answer this if you do not want to.
