Resources for lead maternity carers

Please find below the material that explains Growing Up in New Zealand.

The LMC bookmark explains the eligibility criteria for pregnant women to join the study, and has some quick, key facts about the research.

You can print out the women’s brochures to give to your client to take away with her to read about Growing Up. There are six bilingual brochures for women who have English as a second language, or are more comfortable reading information in thier first language. Interpreters can be arranged to help during the research interviews, but it will be easier for the woman if she can understand and speak even a little bit of English.

If any of your clients are interested in joining Growing Up in New Zealand, please put their details on the fax referral sheet and send it to the free fax number printed on the form.

And the timeline brochure shows the babies’ and parents’ involvement in the project for the first two years of the research.

Lastly, we have developed an information sheet for LMCs that explains the routinely collected birth data we are asking women's permission to link to as part of the study.
