Two-year data from the Growing Up in New Zealand longitudinal study are being made available for use by researchers outside the Growing Up team. This will be the third release of data from New Zealand’s contemporary longitudinal study of child development, tracking the development of around 6,800 children born in 2009 and 2010, in the context of their diverse families and environments, from before birth until they are young adults.

To assist current and future users in navigating our data sets, a FREE data access workshop will be held in Wellington on 29 November 2016 (as above). A further workshop is planned for Auckland early in 2017. We invite you to come along and learn about the Growing Up in New Zealand study, the 2-year data set and supporting documentation, how to link it with the previously released antenatal and 9-month data sets, and the value of longitudinal data for your organisation and research.

In particular, the workshops will include

  • An overview of the Growing Up in New Zealand longitudinal study
  • A description of the 2-year anonymised data sets
  • An introduction to the new University of Auckland Remote Access facility
  • Information on the application process
  • An opportunity to meet the team and ask questions

Please register your attendance for the workshop in Wellington by Friday 25 November
Your registration will be confirmed.

Researchers in Auckland and other centres are welcome to express interest in receiving information about the 2017 Auckland workshop, when details have been confirmed.
