9-month data from
Growing Up in New Zealand now available to researchers

9-month data from the Growing Up In New Zealand longitudinal study is being made available for the first time for use by researchers outside the Growing Up team. The 9-month data release is the second release of data from this ground-breaking longitudinal study of around 7,000 New Zealand children.

To assist current and future users in navigating our data sets, a series of FREE data access workshops will be held in Wellington, Auckland and Dunedin in July/August 2014. We invite you to come along and learn about the Growing Up in New Zealand study, the 9-month data set and supporting documentation, how to link it with the previously released antenatal data set, and the value of longitudinal data for your organisation and research.

In particular, the workshops will include

  • An overview of the Growing Up in New Zealand longitudinal study
  • A description of the 9-months data sets
  • Examples of some common scenarios for antenatal and 9-month data linkages
  • Information on the application process
  • An opportunity to meet the team and ask questions

Please register your attendance via workshops@growingup.co.nz and indicate which of the three workshops you would like to attend.

Wellington - Tuesday 22 July, 1-3pm | Auckland - Friday 25 July, 1-3pm | Dunedin – Tuesday 12 August, 1-3pm
