Director's summary

On behalf of all those involved in Growing Up in New Zealand, it gives me great pleasure to present key results from our second report (Now We Are Born), which describes the development of the new generation of New Zealand children from before they were born until they are nine months of age. A summary of the key findings from the information our families have generously shared in the first nine months of their children's lives is provided here, as are some opportunities for the future.

Directors summary

We are very excited to release the first results from Growing Up in New Zealand, the 21st century longitudinal study of New Zealand children and their families. The information collected from families before their children are born clearly paints a picture of a changing New Zealand.
