Centre for Longitudinal Research Conference 2022

The University of Auckland's Centre for Longitudinal Research - He Ara ki  Mua  is calling for abstracts from researchers, students and policy makers who have used the Growing Up in New Zealand data for their upcoming conference:

“Whakarongo mai – hear our voices”

Celebrating a decade of evidence from the Growing Up in New Zealand longitudinal study

The two-day Conference, from the 12th - 14th of July 2022,  will celebrate the Centre’s high quality research outputs and their impact as a result of robust academic and policy partnerships.

It will also offer opportunities for researchers to network and discuss the future challenges and opportunities for utilizing longitudinal research to improve population wellbeing (methodologies, data collections, partnerships with policymakers, implementing co-designed solutions with diverse communities).

There will be optional interactive workshops on day three to explore opportunities for undertaking further transdisciplinary research. The discussions will explore opportunities for expanding existing partnerships with researchers, communities, and stakeholders to ensure the voices of today’s generation of tamariki and rangatahi can be heard to shape their own futures and the futures of all young people growing up in Aotearoa New Zealand today.

The conference is planned as a face-to-face event. Researchers who submit abstracts should therefore be in a position to present their papers/posters at the conference. The conference committee will be monitoring the Covid-19 alert levels and continue to inform you of any changes closer to the time of the conference.
