Growing Up in New Zealand launches Now We Are Eight Report

Growing Up in New Zealand has launched its Now We Are Eight: Life in Middle Childhood report.
Growing Up in New Zealand has launched its latest "Now We Are" report - Now We Are Eight: Life in Middle Childhood.
The report is the result of nearly five-years work and explores the lives of Kiwi children at the age of eight. It offers fascinating insights into children's lives and experiences in middle childhood.
It finds that New Zealand eight-year-olds are mostly living busy, healthy, happy lives in supportive families and developing a growing sense of their own identity and autonomy, but obesity, body image, mental wellbeing and screen time are becoming emerging issues.
